The Unique Front Pocket Wallet
August 23, 2011The front pocket wallet is not exactly new to the market; however, it is not widely advertised.
The front pocket wallet was designed to alleviate pressure on the sciatic nerve, thus diminishing back and leg pain for those who are sensitive to pressure on the hip. The bulky back pocket wallet can cause discomfort in individuals sensitive to the slightest pressure on the hip area. This problem was the cause of a gentleman to design and manufacture the front pocket wallet in Lewiston, Maine, close to the Androscoggin River.
Local craftsmen are employed for this purpose.
The front pocket wallet is about ¼” thick, and measures five inches from the fold to the curved edge. It is created from various types of leather, as well as crocodile and snakeskin, and comes in a variety of colors. It fits quite comfortably in the front pants pocket, and is easily accessible. Another benefit is that it is NOT accessible to pick pockets. Can you imagine a pick-pocket reaching into your front pocket to steal your wallet? Not hardly.
Some of these wallets come with what is known as the wallet guard. The wallet guard is made to prevent access to your credit card information by blocking the radio frequency identification (RFID). Many credit cards emit this through a tiny microchip, allowing the card to be “read” without swiping, from as far as 30 feet away.
The wallet guard can be purchased separately in the case where it isn’t already installed in the wallet.
The front pocket wallet can be used in the back pocket as well, for those who prefer to carry them that way.
